Nick Cannon was born in San Diego, California on October 8, 1980. He was born in a household where his father had a local cable access television show. In that show at the age of 11, he was performing comedy. Nick started performing and practicing at an the age of 8. At age 15, he became a start up comedian for Nickelodeon and later on started producing, writing and starring “The Cannon Show”.
He was involved in several small gigs in the beginning such as Laugh Factory, The Improv, and The Comedy Store. After those gigs, he received his first film roles in 2002 for movies such as, “Men in Black II”, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “Drumline”. In 2005, he came out with his own MTV’s most successful series called “Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘N Out”. He ran that show from 2005 through 2007 for a total of 4 seasons.
In 2009, Nick joined “America’s Got Talent” where the show paid him $70,000 per episode.
Nick also joined the music industry with his own record label “Can I Ball Records”. Then he released his first self-titled album in 2003 and it reached #15 on the US R&B charts. In 2014, he released his second album called White People Party Music.
